The Fluval external filter offers you unparalleled filter performance, maximum versatility and incredible control over the fine tuning of the water properties.

With Fluval’s unique intelligent pump technology, you simply need to connect the filter to the mains thanks to the self-priming system, and the filter starts by itself. The filter then fills with water, briefly interrupts operation to deflate air and then begins with the filtration process immediately. The filtering takes place until the unit is disconnected from the mains supply. Every 12 hours the filter interrupts operation to deflate air into the system. In this way, the vacuum required for maximum efficiency is maintained.

The multi-stage filter system makes it possible to stack filter media exactly in the combination that is most suitable for your aquarium. This ensures unrestricted flexibility to create and maintain the ideal environment for your fish.

Its enormous capacity and powerful integrated motor that circulates full 2,300 litres of water per hour allow you to accurately tune the water properties in aquariums up to 1,500 litres. It can hold up to 5.9 litres of filter media and is still so compact that it fits in almost any aquarium cabinet.
